Colorado is an outdoor lover’s paradise, and we’re here to help you explore all of it. Take a trip, improve your climbing skills, fix your bike, rent some gear – we’ve got you covered!
CU Denver outdoor adventure trips give participants diverse opportunities to learn about themselves, their classmates, the university and the great outdoors. Each trip is peer-led with itineraries on both weekdays and weekends.
Designed by Boulder-based Eldorado Climbing Walls, our 38-foot climbing wall and short bouldering wall welcome climbers of all levels. The walls have 12 belay bars and 12 lead climbing routes and feature glass windows that overlook downtown and the Rocky Mountains.
It's easy to plan your own adventure with rental equipment for everything from camping and climbing to snowshoeing and stand-up paddle boarding. Come to the Adventure desk in the Student Wellness Center to rent equipment for your next adventure.
Come and learn how to work on your own bike with the assistance of one of our Outdoor Adventure Associates. We have the tools to fix almost any problem you have on your bike. If we do not know the solution, we will work together to find one. The best part, it is free to use our tools.
We understand that school and life can keep you busy. Although we are not a full-service bike shop, and use of the shop is free, we do offer a couple services at a small cost. You can drop your bike off and get the tube changed for $10, plus the cost of the tube. You can also get your chain cleaned and lubed for $5. However, we do not keep bikes overnight and there will be a $25 fee assessed for each night a bike is left at the shop.
We are located just around the corner from the main entrance of the Student Wellness Center. There is a large door (labeled Outdoor Adventure) with a doorbell that you can ring during our open hours.
