How to apply

Step 2 - Apply online

To complete the online application, you will need to have the following information handy.

  • Personal information

  • Family information

  • Previous school or college information

Step 3 - Official documents

In addition to the online application, you must also send your official documents to CU Denver to be considered for admission.

Note: CU Denver requires official transcripts from every course taken or university you've attended and certain programs may require additional documentation.

Step 4 - File your FAFSA

The first step in applying for financial aid is to complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). The transfer application becomes available October 1 of each year. To be considered for the best aid available, complete your FAFSA and submit any requested documents by our priority deadline of April 1.

Step 5 - Next steps

Applicants are considered for transfer student admission when the application, application fee and all required official documents have been received. CU Denver practices rolling admissions and can usually notify you of your admission status within two weeks after receiving all official documents. You can log back in to the application to check your application status at any time, and once admitted, you will need to declare your intent to enroll at CU Denver before claiming your account and completing the next steps for admitted students.
