The academic technology team consults with academic audiences at CU Denver and CU Anschutz on curricular and research technology needs. Service offerings include training on the use of software, collaborating on best practices for teaching with digital tools, and partnering on the implementation of innovative ideas in digital pedagogy.
The business and professional services teams focus on working with our university partners to create customized solutions and opportunities. We provide support, development, consultation, integration, and production services to help constituents navigate the constantly changing digital landscape.
Classroom support includes technical support services as well as the development and delivery of innovative technologies for teaching and learning. Service offerings include support of instructional technologies, consulting services and equipment available to faculty, staff and students for short term loan.
Computer and device support provides university faculty and staff with hardware support services including setup, configuration and troubleshooting of computers, devices, and printers, and consulting about new equipment purchases. Additional services include management and support of student computer labs on the CU Denver campus.
Email and scheduling services provide university employees, students and other authorized users access and support for university email accounts and services (webmail/Microsoft 365/Exchange) as well as room scheduling through EMS (room scheduling, facilities services, and AV support).
Internet and phone services support, monitor and optimize access to the internet, university networked resources and voice communications. These services include office phone setup, long distance, wired and wireless access, and more.
Logins and account access services connect people and systems to campus services and data resources. Through identification and authorization, these services facilitate access to university supported software, applications, systems and more.
Meeting and event services are offered to assist with room scheduling, classroom recordings, photography, video and online conferencing.
Security and compliance services monitor, protect and secure the university's IT infrastructure, data and operations, safeguarding the privacy of the university community while maintaining compliance with applicable policies, laws and regulations.
Server hosting, backup and storage services include a variety of file and data backup solutions available to university faculty, staff and students. Other services include setup and centralized hosting of both physical and virtual servers. Fees may apply for some services.
Free and discounted software, including centrally managed campus applications, are available to university employees and students under specially negotiated licenses. Other services in this area include software specific technology training (Canvas, Formstack, Sitefinity) and product consultation/evaluation.
Website management and development services include access to resources for building and managing online content and websites. A variety of free and fee-based services allow for the development and administration of secure, accessible websites and web applications.
