Wireless Network and Connectivity

CU Denver and Auraria Campus Wi-Fi Network Change Beginning July 1

Beginning Monday, July 1, on the Auraria Campus, all institution-specific Wi-Fi networks will be turned off. Faculty, students and staff will need to select either the new AurariaNet or AurariaNet Guest network for access.

This change will improve reliability and cost-effectiveness while reducing disconnections when moving from building to building. If you have questions, please contact the OIT Service Desk.

To sign in on a computer:

  1. Click on the internet icon on the Wi-Fi icon: for Macs - top right menu; for PCs - lower right menu.
  2. Select the AurariaNet option.
  3. Enter your CU Denver email and password.
  4. Select “connect automatically” so you will not have to enter your login details again.

To sign in on a cellphone:

  1. Go to the settings and click “Wi-Fi.”
  2. Select the AurariaNet option.
  3. Enter your CU Denver email and password.
  4. Most phones will remember a network you log into, so you won’t need to log in again.

Most buildings will see this change starting July 1; however, a handful will be instituted at a later date. A full list from AHEC is shown below:

Wi-Fi Troubleshooting

As a member of the university community, you have access to internal and external resources for securely connecting to the university network. OIT supports both wi-fi and cellular coverage on campus. With your laptop, tablet, or mobile device you can access the Secure Wireless Network (labeled CU Denver) or Guest Wireless Network (CU Denver Guest) while on campus or at our off-campus locations. Both networks will require a certificate acceptance however, for access to the Secure Wireless Network you must use your university credentials - username and password.

Connect a Mobile Device to Wireless

Android Device

  1. Open the wireless settings
