Universities and businesses around the world were impacted last month by what is being dubbed the most significant cybersecurity vulnerability of the last decade involving Log4j software. CU security teams and system administrators partnered together to mitigate risk and remediate this security problem - allowing students, faculty, and staff the ability to continue learning, teaching, and working.
The temporary restrictions placed on CU online systems during the Log4j global security threat have been lifted and standard access restored beginning Friday, January 7, 2022, at noon. With new safeguards and enhanced monitoring in place, the university is able to safely return to standard operations and restore normal access across all systems. To our knowledge, university data was not compromised.
