Get more information and IT helpThe Colorado Department of Higher Education (CDHE) has a statewide Developmental Education policy. The goal of this policy is to support academic success. CU Denver notifies freshmen admits who fall within the guidelines of this policy by email, so please check your CU Denver email to see if you received communication with the subject line: You're eligible for developmental education and extra academic support at CU Denver! The email indicates whether you qualify for additional support in the areas of English, Mathematics, or both.
Please view the How To Meet Developmental Education Requirements document to learn how you can meet the developmental education requirements, and note that these requirements should be met by the time you complete 30 credit hours. If you didn't receive the email, this policy doesn't apply to you.
If the policy does apply to you and you have updated high school transcripts, college credit or test scores, please let us know as it may exempt you from the developmental education requirements. Please submit your updated records to the Office of Admissions by July 15th.
We look forward to having you on campus and supporting you to graduation.
