Submit your application to CU Denver between Oct. 15 and 17 and your $50 application fee will be waived.
Before you left, you should have completed a Course Approval Form that informed you what the CU Denver equivalents will be for the courses you are taking. An academic or major advisor should have signed off on the form.
The institution abroad will issue student transcripts after the program ends. This can take some time, but check in with your provider if your transcript hasn’t been issued within a few months after the end of your program. It’s important to make sure that your transcripts are mailed directly to the Office of Global Education at this address:
Office of Global Education
Attention: Sophie Bergman, Tivoli Annex 439
1201 5th St.
Denver, CO 80204
If the institution sends transcripts via email, please have your transcript sent to study.abroad@ucdenver.edu. Please note that we will not accept student-submitted transcripts.
Once a transcript is received by OGE, the Course Approval Form will be compared to the courses listed on the transcript. If there are courses on the transcript that are not on the Course Approval Form, the courses will need to be retroactively evaluated, which can delay the processing of your transcript. Assuming that all courses were successfully passed, meaning that they all meet the minimum grade requirement, credits will be transferred to your CU Denver transcript. Please see our Credit Transfer Policy for more details.
If you use financial aid for your time abroad, you may receive a hold on your aid for the following semester because your grades have not come through, but you can appeal. Contact the Financial Aid and Scholarships Office for more information and assistance if you find yourself in this situation.
