Erica Van Sciver is a Global Education Assistant at CU Denver’s Office of Global Education. She advises students about travelling internationally and supports operations and events at OGE. She did her undergrad at Bates College where she majored in English and completed a semester abroad in Santiago, Chile to improve her Spanish. She went on to teach English in Vietnam and was awarded a Fulbright grant to teach in Spain. Most recently, she completed her Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction at CU Denver.
Erica is a passionate advocate for affordable international travel. She has backpacked extensively throughout the world and can often be found planning her next trip. Some of her favorite international experiences have been seeing sloths in Costa Rica, exploring caves in Laos, hiking in Patagonia, and surfing along the Pacific Coast of Mexico.
