CU Denver Study Abroad Photo Contest
The world through the eyes of our CU Denver | Anschutz learners
Share your experiences abroad to encourage others to go out into the world for adventures like yours, AND compete for prizes!
Rules & Requirements
- CU Denver students who were registered for and attended a study abroad program for Fall, Winterim, Spring, or Maymester/Summer are eligible to enter.
- All photos must be the student's original work and be submitted in high resolution (generally at least 1MB)
- There are four contest categories: Lynx Abroad, Culture, Landscape, and "Wild Card".
- Panorama photos are not accepted at this time.
- Each student may submit only two photos for each contest category.
- Students may only win the grand prize for one category. See prize section below.
- You are welcome to send more than eight photos if you would like to offer them for use in our publications, our website, etc. Email extra photos to study.abroad@ucdenver.edu.
- Students submitting entries to the contest must agree to the terms listed on the last page of our submission form.
Preliminary Judging
The top 10-12 photos from each category will be determined by the Office of Global Education Staff.
Final Judging
The top 10-12 photos chosen by OGE staff will be open for public voting via a Google Forms survey. The photos that receive the most votes in each category will win our grand prize! The photos that receive the second and third most votes will have their winning photos printed and framed.

1st, 2nd & 3rd Place for Each Category
One framed print of your winning image.
*Students are only eligible to win the grand prize for one category. If your photo receives the most likes in more than one category, the 2nd place winner for those categories will receive the grand prize. 1st place winners will still receive the grand prize for one of their images, plus a framed print of any image that got 1st, 2nd, and/or 3rd place for any of our categories.
