Mission Statement:
The Office of Global Education (OGE) is committed to fostering meaningful, safe, and inclusive in-person opportunities for every CU Denver | Anschutz learner. OGE strives to connect learners with engaging and affordable international study, research, and internship opportunities to foster intercultural agility, expand global frames of reference, and to cultivate lifelong global mindsets.
The Office of Global Education is a proud member of Diversity Abroad, an organization whose mission is “to create equitable access to the benefits of global education by empowering educators, engaging stakeholders, and connecting diverse students to resources and opportunity,” (Diversity Abroad). Our team is dedicated to establishing a culture of inclusive international education on the CU Denver | Anschutz campuses.
Affordability:
The Office of Global Education recognizes the importance of having affordable study abroad opportunities. In addition to financial aid, students are encouraged to apply for the following scholarships:
- Bejamin A. Gilman Scholarship – Each year, CU Denver has several students receive the Gilman Scholarship. This scholarship “enables students of limited financial means to study or intern abroad.” To be eligible, applicants must receive a Federal Pell Grant.
- Global Education Scholarship – The Office of Global Education facilitates an in-house scholarship for students studying abroad on most CU Denver | Anschutz programming.
- Third-Party Diversity Scholarships – Due to our status as a Minority Serving Institution (MSI), our students are eligible to apply for many diversity specific scholarships with our third-party partners. Explore our diversity scholarship page to learn more.
We would like to recognize the Reynold’s Fund for Global Business, as it provides a substantial discount in program fees for students participating on CU Denver Global Study Programs with the Business School.
