ABOUT THE CLASS
This interactive class is for decision makers to develop and/or enhance an agency emergency preparedness and response plan. This plan could be incorporated into an existing emergency/safety plan or be designed to stand-alone. The facilitator will lead attendees through activities and templates to create agency specific policies, plans and procedures for an effective emergency preparedness and response plan using the Centers for Medicaid & Medicaid Services Emergency Preparedness Rule as a guideline. This class is currently offered in-person. Spanish translation is available. 8 hours

Decision makers such as agency administrators, safety managers, the person who writes plans for your agency.
- Review an emergency preparedness and response plan template

- Develop policies and procedures for staff, mitigation, agency preparedness, agency response, agency recovery
- Understand Hazard Vulnerability and Risk Assessment
- Understand how to use a Disaster Response Team
- Develop a Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP)
