She has been principal/co-investigator, author and/or contract manager for a range of federal, state, and local government contracts and grants which support professionals in the field with the technical assistance, coaching, professional development and access to AT equipment needed for success.

In her role at the University, she has developed numerous training curriculums around assistive technology, adult learning strategies and curriculum development.  Her technology development and application research has focused on language development and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) as well as early childhood, inclusion, and leadership.  She has presented at state, national and international conferences on assistive technology and has published numerous resources in the field.

With appointments in the Departments of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Pediatrics, she pursued her passion in leading programs to ensure AT is implemented effectively.
