CIDE is Expanding, Again!
The Center for Inclusive Design and Engineering is growing! With new projects and initiatives underway, CIDE is excited to welcome five new employees

Laura Price is CIDE’s new Administrative Assistant III. She has spent the last two years teaching first grade and has a passion for helping educators better support their students. Laura is a Colorado native who loves being close to family, especially her new nephew. She likes to spend her free time with friends, playing guitar and singing, volunteering at her church, and reading a good book.
Hattie Overton
Hattie Overton is the Communications Specialist at CIDE. She is passionate about graphic and website design and learning about new digital platforms. She recently moved from New Orleans, LA, and is eager to become more acclimated with Denver while exploring everything it has to offer. She enjoys visiting family, spending time with friends, sports, traveling to new places, spending time with her rescue dog named Kevin, and reading.
Liz Coughanour
Liz Coughanour is an instructional designer who joined CIDE a little over a year ago and has since contributed to multiple community programs including Project SOARR (Supporting Older Adults through Resources and Relationships) and a new digital literacy curriculum project to empower individuals receiving Medicaid services.
She holds a master’s degree from CU Denver in Learning Design and Technology. Her focus is to create inclusive, accessible learning experiences that engage the full range of learner needs and strengths. Liz works from her home in Brunswick, Germany, where she lives with her opera-singer husband and four awesome kids. She is a lifelong learner, an amateur artist, and a living-room musician. In her spare time, she enjoys riding her bike and trying to keep her houseplants alive.
Katie Hwang
Katie Hwang is a Research Instructor working for Project Include. Her passion lies in making a difference in children's lives and creating positive learning experiences for all, especially for children with delays, disabilities, and differences. She finds it fulfilling to work towards creating inclusive environments for children who need it the most. In her free time, she loves spending time with her family and exploring the beautiful nature of Colorado by walking, hiking, and biking. She finds it rejuvenating to experience the beauty of nature and to spend quality time with her loved ones.
