Message from the Director | Spring 2024
Reflecting on Growth and Gratitude at CIDE
Cathy Bodine P.h.D., CCC-SLP Jun 14, 2024This spring has been a season of exciting developments in academics, research, community programs and industry services.
I am profoundly grateful to everyone who supported us this year at our Annual Déjà vu Rendezvous Celebration at Mile High Station. What a great event celebrating Colorado’s construction industry!
Our strong relationship with the construction industry has enabled us to expand our assistive technology clinical services to children and adults with complex disabilities. Through the generosity of our sponsors, we can also continue to develop exciting undergraduate and graduate academic opportunities and further our research into new technologies and services.
I am very excited, and at the same time, very sad to celebrate Kelly Waugh as she retires from CIDE. Kelly has been a national and international leader in wheelchair seating and mobility throughout her career, and we will all miss her dearly. She has been an awesome friend, wise counselor, and someone whose energy never stops! Her advocacy for those she serves and her willingness to go far above and beyond what is expected is a memory I will always cherish. Wishing Kelly new adventures and a wonderful and well-deserved retirement from CIDE!
