Have you ever been told that you have leadership potential? Are you currently in a leadership position and feel that you need to know more about yourself and the process of leadership to be effective? Are you passionate about community service?
The ACE Program may be for you. Advocates for Community Service is a full immersed experience for leadership development and community service. The ACE Program is completed by taking a year long cohort style class that explores the principles of effective leadership within the context of social change initiatives. Through the lens of John C. Maxwell's "21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership," students will examine how these laws apply to leading transformative efforts aimed at addressing societal challenges. Through experiential learning activities, experiences, and real-world projects, students will develop practical leadership skills for effecting positive social change.
This class also partners with local Non-Profits for students gain that "real-world" factor. Students are able to choose the organization and have a capstone project of how to develop the organization forward.
