Who we are and what we do is right there in the name. University of Colorado Denver Student Government Association (SGA). We are your elected student government officials working to provide you, the student, with the best possible student experience.
SGA safeguards the rights and interests of all students while recognizing and respecting the strength and diversity of each individual student. As the collective voice of the student body, we lead students with honesty, integrity, and respect. The CU Denver SGA promises accountability to its constituency by modeling effective and responsive shared governance that enriches the quality of student life.
Do you want to discuss campus issues, plan events, and improve the CU Denver student experience? Become a candidate! We hold elections every spring semester.
We want to hear your voice. Join the meetings every Friday from 12:30pm – 2:30pm in Tivoli #640. Hear what we’re been talking about and discover future topics.
Find out who we are and what we do. Just like any government, there are branches, committees, and representatives meant to make CU Denver even better.
The SGA president and vice president are the primary spokespeople for the student body and represent CU Denver on a system-wide, intercampus forum. Additionally, the president and vice president oversee the day-to-day operations of the Student Government Association. They set the SGA agenda for the year and collaborate with the committees to work on improving the student experience. They also serve as the liaison between CU Denver professors, administration, and students by answering questions, responding to complaints, and providing information to all appropriate parties.
