Vision
The work of the Disability Resources and Services office is centered around accessibility, inclusion, innovation, transformation, and excellence. We envision a campus that represents, includes, and supports individuals with disabilities beyond accommodations and reasonable modifications, and a campus culture that facilitates meaningful and equitable access, opportunities, and benefits. The Disability Resources and Services (DRS) office at the University of Colorado Denver emphasizes proactive campus and community collaboration to remove barriers and provide full inclusion. The DRS office is committed to providing a similar, if not identical, experience to disabled individuals as their non-disabled counterparts. The purpose and goals of the DRS office correlate with the University’s mission.
The University vision statement reads, “at CU Denver, we are building a radically inclusive model for higher education based on the simple idea that everyone deserves access to an excellent education and a fulfilled life of their design.” The purpose of CU Denver is to “make a CU Denver education work for all — to transform lives, expand economies, and uplift communities.”
