Dear Members of the CU Denver Community,
We learned today that an MSU Denver employee on the Auraria Campus has tested positive for COVID-19 (coronavirus). Our thoughts are with the individual, as well as with family members and colleagues, at this uncertain time.
What we know now is:
In anticipation of the increasing likelihood of a positive COVID-19 case on campus, we are fortunate to have already transitioned to fully remote teaching and learning, and yesterday announced the restricted access to campus effective at the end of today. Staying away from campus and away from crowded places will be even more important as we expect to see more cases of the virus throughout the community. Continue to monitor our COVID-19 website for the latest information.
For Our Students
We recognize that this has been an extraordinary situation that requires unusual measures to ensure your safety and security. We will continue doing everything that is humanly possible to ensure that you have a successful academic experience.
For Faculty, Staff and Student Workers
Faculty and staff identified as “critical” should continue to report to work, as long as they feel healthy, and continue to follow prevention protocols. Noncritical employees should continue to work remotely. Please be sure to fill out the required registration on our remote workforce site. We are asking all employees to register, including faculty. Our goal is to continue the work of the university.
We remain committed to protecting the health, safety and well-being of our community, and to supporting individuals who test positive for the COVID-19 virus. Thank you for your patience and understanding, and please continue to take care of yourselves, your families and each other as we face what’s ahead together.
What to do if you test positive for COVID-19
If you are informed by the Colorado Department of Health & Environment (CDPHE) or a medical provider that you have tested positive for the coronavirus (COVID-19), please take the following steps.
