Director of the Institute for International Business
Manuel serves as the director of the Institute for International Business (IIB) which promotes the advanced study and teaching, of International Business, International Studies, and related fields at the University of Colorado Denver. As a university-wide center, the IIB develops and provides international business resources and opportunities for faculty, students and businesses. The IIB supports faculty in enhancing the global dimensions of their teaching and research, provides students opportunities to be best prepared to work in a global economy, and collaborates with the business community to advance international business practice.
CU Denver and the IIB have been named and funded as a Center for International Business Education and Research (CIBER), a national center of excellence designation by the US Department of Education. It is one of only 15 such centers in the United States and the only one in Colorado.
