Academic technology and classroom support includes technical support services as well as the development and delivery of innovative technologies for teaching and learning. Service offerings include support of instructional technologies, consulting services and equipment available to faculty, staff and students for short term loan.

Audiovisual equipment can be checked out for classroom use or other events on the CU Anschutz Medical Campus and in CU owned buildings at CU Denver. There is generally no charge for equipment required for classes. For events, please make the equipment request three days in advance. On CU Anschutz, equipment can be picked up in ED2 North, Room 5124 or delivered for a fee. For CU owned buildings at CU Denver, please call (303) 315-2055 to make arrangements.
AV System Design is a service that facilitates the design and integration of audiovisual systems across campuses. This includes new systems and design changes to existing systems. The team provides consulting services that take the project from inception to completion.
The Turning Technologies Audience Response System offers instant management of polling participants, content, sessions and reports. For a fee, audience response systems (clickers) can be checked out and used to gauge understanding and the engagement of participants at an event or in a class.
Digital signage is provided to show daily classroom/event scheduling information as well as flyers to promote campus activities and events. Email your 8x11 .pdf or .jpeg flyers for approval to the CU Denver or Anschutz Medical Campus digital display contact email addresses in the call to action boxes on the right. Please select the campus you'd like to request a display for and include the date range for posting.
OIT has the ability to live stream and/or record your classes or events through our bridge. All service options are available when scheduling in EMS.
Medical Teaching Lab Support includes providing supplies and equipment for microbiology, physiology, pathology, histology, and phlebotomy labs on the CU Anschutz Medical Campus. Equipment available: binocular microscopes with 4X-100X objectives, centrifuges, surgical instruments, sterilizers, water baths, incubators, and more. Submit your request two weeks prior to the class/event.
Panopto is used at the Anschutz Medical Campus for classroom lecture recording. The system allows faculty to record classes and lectures through their faculty Canvas profile, and makes those recordings available to students for viewing through their student Canvas profile. Access, support and training on Panopto is available to faculty and designated student workers.
Our video streaming solutions (RSS) allow for a one-way broadcast to any location that has a computer with Windows Media Player installed (version 10 or higher is recommended). The stream can be recorded at the same time and stored on a server or archived on a DVD. Videoconferences can also be recorded to a DVD or CD and/or stored on a server (RSS) and utilized at a later date.
Technology Support Services utilizes and manages the EMS Room and Resource scheduling system. This system is used to schedule classrooms, multipurpose meeting rooms, computer teaching labs, small group rooms, lecture halls, auditorium and conference rooms on the CU Denver | CU Anschutz Medical Campus.
Classroom related audiovisual support is available for courses (no fee) and for non-course related events. This includes setup of equipment, assistance with audio, video and recording devices, assistance with loading of PowerPoint presentations, or other multimedia equipment, i.e., document cameras, DVD/VCRs, audience response systems, etc. Request for technical assistance should be made three days in advance.

Test Processing is available for all degree granting programs on the Anschutz Medical Campus at no charge. Exams may have up to 200 questions with eight possible answers. Please contact us to ensure that your answer sheets and answer keys are formatted correctly.

OIT provides video conferencing services to all of the University of Colorado campuses, as well as to numerous affiliate hospitals. Video conferencing allows two or more locations to communicate through simultaneous two way video and audio transmissions. Video conferencing services are offered primarily through the use of dedicated systems. Often times quality of video is improved during a video conference rather than a web conference. Zoom is the university supported software for web conferencing. Zoom is a unified cloud based web and video conferencing platform that is offered by OIT as a self-service collaboration solution.
