OIT’s strategic planning efforts continue as we support the university’s mission as a diverse teaching and learning community. During this past year, the strategic planning team facilitated cross-campus input sessions and workshops with our constituent partners – a process that was essential to creating technology services and solutions critical to university success.
This collaborative process resulted in the strategic directions outlined in a one-page executive summary for each campus: CU Denver summary / CU Anschutz Medical Campus summary.
The participatory data-gathering workshops and brainstorming sessions helped determine and prioritize a strategic focus, allowing OIT to delve deeper into what being the university’s primary strategic business partner looks like over the next few years. The goals and objectives created from the OIT strategic plan are being aligned with existing campus-specific guiding principles set forth by both chancellors.
As we work to improve alignment and connection between members of OIT and the university community, this plan will outline OIT's short- and long-term goals; allowing us to be forward thinking in identifying practical steps for embracing the transformation of information technology for faculty, staff and students. During the second quarter, progress on our strategic directions will be posted to OIT’s Strategic Planning webpage.
