Website Technology Resources and Outage NotificationsOct 12, 2021
OIT continually works to safeguard the university’s technology infrastructure and improve our service delivery process. Service impacting interruptions can occur campuswide and is something that many of us have experienced. Stay up to date on regularly scheduled system maintenance as well as unplanned outage notifications by bookmarking the OIT webpage for easy access to information.
Not sure if you need assistance from the service desk team or the issue is a campuswide issue? Emergency technology outage updates are posted on the OIT webpage under System Status as they occur. A yellow or red battery will indicate that there is a service issue OIT teams are working to resolve. This is the best mechanism to learn about any large-scale potential issues affecting one or both campuses. In addition, there may be other options or “workarounds” that will be included in the System Status section if there are actions that can be taken to access university resources while service is being restored.
Underneath the System Status battery on our website, click on the View system alerts button to access a downloadable pdf of the planned maintenance work. This section is updated following the bi-weekly change advisory board meetings, giving you advance notice of any potential interruption of service that may affect your work.
Other popular searches on the OIT website include our software pages with a fully searchable software list of university site licenses as well as applications that can be purchased at a discounted rate.
- You can access all your Microsoft 365 applications across any platform on any device. The software is available for no charge on up to 5 PCs or Macs (and other mobile devices).
- Visit our Adobe Creative Cloud webpages for details about the software and tools for graphic design, video editing, web development, image editing, and more available to faculty, staff, and students through our license agreement with Adobe.
If you need additional assistance with any technology needs, please contact the OIT Service Desk via an option shown on our landing page. The OIT Service Center is available at any time to submit a ticket for help for our team. (There is a job aid available to help you get started with requesting a service or troubleshooting a technology issue.) In addition, faculty, staff, and students can report an outage at any time by calling 303-724-4357 or 4-HELP (4-4357) from a campus phone.
