Canvas: The university's learning management system (LMS) used for posting course content, activities, assessments and grades.
VPN and Remote Access: Allows users to secure a network connection and access University resources (network drives, etc.) from off-campus or while connected to the secure CU Denver wireless network.

Technology Setup and Support: Audiovisual support is available for course-related (free) and non-course-related (at cost) events. This includes help with any multimedia equipment including DVD/VCR, document cameras, PowerPoint presentations, audience response systems and any other audio and video recording devices. Medical Teaching Labs: Medical Teaching Lab Support includes providing supplies and equipment for microbiology, physiology, pathology, histology, and phlebotomy labs on the CU Anschutz Medical Campus. Equipment available: binocular microscopes with 4X-100X objectives, centrifuges, surgical instruments, sterilizers, water baths, incubators, and more. Faculty Training: These trainings are focused on assisting faculty with integrating technology into their classrooms. Offerings include canvas basics, instructional design courses and the option for custom developed training for your department.
Professional Development: Academic Technologies and CU Online offers faculty members opportunities for professional development. Join a scheduled activity, make a specialized request or apply for a mini grant if needed. Some offerings include software trainings, Winter Web Camp and the CU Online Spring Symposium.
Course Review: The instructional design team will consult with faculty about online course design. Assistance includes course organization, communication methods, integrating technology and improving instructor presence in the online environment. Request course review assistance.
Audience Response Systems:
Test Processing: Test Processing is available for all degree granting programs on the Anschutz Medical Campus at no charge. Exams may have up to 200 questions with eight possible answers. Please contact us to ensure that your answer sheets and answer keys are formatted correctly.
Audiovisual Equipment: AV equipment can be checked out for classroom use or other events on the CU Anschutz Medical Campus and in CU owned buildings at CU Denver. There is generally no charge for equipment required for classes. For events, please make the equipment request three days in advance. On CU Anschutz, equipment can be picked up in ED2 North, Room 5124 or delivered for a fee. For CU owned buildings at CU Denver, please call (303)315-2055 to make arrangements.
Software: We offer free access to many software applications including, MATLAB, Formstack and Microsoft Office products. Make sure to check for available downloads before making an unnecessary purchase.
