Our Purpose

The University of Colorado Denver’s Institute for International Business (IIB) serves as the center for the advanced study and teaching of international business in the University of Colorado system. The Institute for International Business was established in 1988 and is celebrating over 30 years as Colorado's preeminent academic resource in international business.

The IIB is also home to CU Denver's Center for International Business Education and Research (CIBER), a presitigious designation by the U.S. Department of Education for only 15 universities across the nation to serve as centers of international business expertise and promote U.S. global competitiveness for students, faculty, and U.S. businesses. The Institute for International Business has been a CIBER for 25 of its 30 plus years in operation.

As Colorado's only CIBER, CU Denver's Institute for International Business has established itself as the state's preeminent academic resource in international business.
