For Faculty/Staff

Self-Pay Asymptomatic COVID-19 Testing for Staff and Faculty
We are excited to announce that CU Denver has obtained $10 self-pay asymptomatic RT-PCR testing for our staff and faculty, through a partnership with COVIDCheckColorado/Gary Investment Community. Students will have the same opportunity; announcement forthcoming.

Because testing resources are limited, staff and faculty who are working on campus will receive first priority for asymptomatic testing—you do not need to work on campus every day to qualify for testing. Upon paying the fee, and if there is testing capacity, you will be permitted to sign up for an appointment and a test location.

Your email and date of birth will be requested so you can access the HIPAA-compliant system. Note that paying the $10 fee does not guarantee a testing appointment. If you pay for a test and do not get tested, you will receive a refund.

Once you complete the payment, you will receive information about the testing process, what information is collected, how you will be contacted with your test results, as well as locations and times for testing appointments.

Currently, COVIDCheckColorado is offering drive-up tests across the metro area and you may make an appointment through the sign-up process. A testing location will also be open in the North Classroom Atrium, on Wednesday/Thursday, August 26-27 from 8 a.m. – noon (appointment slots will be released later this week). To be tested, YOU MUST follow the sign-up process above and schedule an appointment for testing. Turnaround for test results has been less than 48 hours.

Call for Heath Station Check-In Volunteers
We are still looking for faculty and staff to volunteer for two-hour shifts at the North Classroom or Business School health check-in stations. Responsibilities include engaging and welcoming employees and new students to campus and answering questions to keep the lines moving quickly. Any faculty or staff member can volunteer, even if your unit is not returning to campus. New shifts at additional locations will be made available weekly.

Sign up for a shift next week, Aug 24 – 28:

Updated Safety Protocol Graphic
Now that the fall semester has started, faculty and staff are encouraged to add an updated “6 Steps for a Safe Return” graphic to their email signatures as a replacement to their current logo/social elements or any additional elements outside of contact info. There are two safety protocol graphics displayed at the bottom of the Safe Return Assets webpage. Please download and use the one that is specific to CU Denver unless you have responsibilities for both CU Denver and CU Anschutz.
