As of June, colleges, schools, and administrative units have started a soft return to the office, with staff coming in approximately one to two days per week.
In July, staff will increase their number of days in the office so our units can be in their "next normal" states in preparation for the fall 2021 semester. While we do not believe many employees will work fully remotely going forward, supervisors have discretion to be flexible with remote work options, including location and schedules.
To make this transition as easy as possible, there will be free, first-come first-served parking underneath the CU Denver Building and the Business School Building.
Under the latest health guidance, there are no longer physical distancing requirements. Daily safety protocols differ depending on your vaccination status. All individuals vaccinated or not must wear face coverings in classrooms, elevators, restrooms, and residence halls.
Visitors must complete the daily online health check and wear face coverings at all times while indoors, regardless of vaccination status.
June and July: The CU Denver Building and Business School garages both offer free parking on a first-come-first-serve basis. During this time, permit holders will not have assigned spaces, but will have access to spaces in either garage. The Lawrence Street Center garage will remain reserved parking, with space numbers assigned to each permit holder; however, there is currently a waitlist for available spots. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org to be added to the waitlist.
August: Parking fees for all garages will resume on August 1, 2021. Monthly parking deductions will be made in arrears instead of in advance of the month, and the first billing date will be August 31. A new, part-time rate of $85 per month will allow for up to 10 days per month of parking. If you canceled your parking at the CU Denver Building and Business School garages, you will need to resubmit the CU Denver Parking Agreement for your permit to be reinstated.
Overflow Parking: Visit the Auraria Campus Parking website for additional parking options, rates, and the AHEC parking map.

Develop a plan for your return. Confirm your scheduled on-campus and remote days with your supervisor, team members, and customers or stakeholders.
Pace yourself and include time for reflection during the soft return to campus. Think about what is going well and what you would like to amend in your own personal plan going forward.
Identify all items that you need for a successful day in the office. Be aware there may be limited food options available on or around campus.
On your first day back, try not to schedule too many meetings. Take the time you need to settle back into your space.
