The Center on Domestic Violence Celebrates 20 Years of Service!

  • The Center on Domestic Violence has trained more than 5,800 advocates, researchers and service providers in Colorado.
  • In calendar year 2018, the staff of the CDV responded to 3,699 requests for training and technical assistance from campus, rural and youth serving gender violence programs across the country.
  • In just three of Denver’s 207 public schools, 91 children and youth were identified as experiencing domestic or sexual violence. Each of these students received support and counseling from CDV staff.
  • The Center’s academic programs are unique in the nation. Nearly 200 alumni work across the U.S. and around the globe building effective systems of response to gender violence.

In 2020, the Center on Domestic Violence will be celebrating 20 years of effecting change and ending violence. Twenty events throughout the year will commemorate our founders, shine a light on the profound impact that the Center has made in ending interpersonal violence and articulate our vision for the future.

We invite you to help us foster change in the lives of victims of domestic and sexual violence. Join us for any (all!) of the inspiring anniversary activities planned for the coming year and pledge your support for the Center’s future efforts bringing together our Many Stars committed to change into One Universe of peace and respect.
