In September 2020, CU Denver launched a national search for its first campus-specific vice chancellor for diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). The position was created in response to suggestions from the university community, made during the chancellor’s July 2020 equity listening sessions, that this role focus exclusively on the CU Denver campus. Reporting directly to the chancellor, the position will cultivate strategic alignment on matters of diversity, equity, and inclusion across the university.
The chancellor appointed a search committee with the responsibility of identifying, screening and recommending candidates while also engaging broadly with the university community in the search process. The search firm WittKieffer will assist the committee in the recruitment and screening of candidates. Throughout the search process, the committee will periodically update the university community.
