Additional Holiday Dec. 24

Sent: Dec. 18, 2020

Dear Colleagues,

Last week, we wrote to you that we had granted an additional paid holiday on Martin Luther King Jr. Day (January 18) as a token of our gratitude.

We’ve just learned that Governor Polis has granted state employees an extra paid holiday on December 24 (Christmas Eve) and I’m pleased to share that we have decided to grant the day to our employees as well. The extra day is given in sincere gratitude for all the extra work you’ve put over this challenging year. I hope you’re able to get some good rest and spend time with loved ones, even if it has to be virtually.

Please follow the same timesheet reporting process outlined in last week’s MLK holiday message, including for employees from consolidated units serving both campuses. If you are required to work on Dec. 24, you may choose an alternative administrative leave day during the fiscal year, with your supervisor’s approval.

My best wishes to you for a healthy, happy, and safe holiday –
