Additional Holiday, ​10-31-2017

Dear colleagues,

With the holidays approaching, I would like to again express my gratitude for your hard work and thoughtful service to CU Denver. Governor Hickenlooper last week authorized an extra holiday for state employees, and I am granting CU Denver faculty and staff an additional holiday on the same day: Friday, November 24.

Normal leave policies will apply to these additional holidays. Faculty and staff providing essential services on November 24 will still be required to come to work on that day. If you are required to work on November 24, you may choose an alternative day during December, in coordination with your supervisors, to take administrative leave. Questions should be directed to your school/college/unit’s Human Resources representative. Employees from consolidated units serving both campuses should take the holiday that aligns the campus schedule they are following: November 24 for CU Denver, December 29 or January 2 for CU Anschutz.

I know that additional time with family and friends is one of the most precious gifts any of us can receive. I hope you enjoy the extra day off. It is given with my heartfelt thanks for all that you do, every day, to make CU Denver a wonderful place to work and learn.
